Competitions
The Selby and District Bowling Association runs a number of competitions for individuals throughout the season, and there is also one team competition. All are run on a purely knock-out basis, played over 4/5 rounds depending on the number of entries.

In terms of competition organisation, the first player drawn out in each game is the home team and should make all match arrangements. All the individual competitions are played down to a final, which will then be completed on finals day. This year the finals day will be Sunday 18th August at Riccall Bowling Club. The Fletchers Cup is played up to the semi final on the same basis and then finished off at a semi final and finals day towards the end of the season. All the winners of each competition collect their relevant cups/shields at the Association presentation night in late September.
